Oscars hottest jewelry looks

Hope everyone had a great Oscar weekend! I know I did! There was really one reason I was watching this year, and his name was Leo. Can we all just take a moment and enjoy all the greatness that was Leo on his Oscar night?

Not only did this bring all the feels, it made us love
this great friendship between
Kate and Leo.
Also Kate Winslet's earrings were phenomenal!
Minimal makeup,
classic dress, and
giant diamond cluster
earrings. Classic.

This brings me to one of the biggest trends on all red carpets lately, statement earrings. Instead of going earlobe stretching-ly GIANT earrings, which I don't mind, one of my favorites was Saoirse Ronan in different color earrings on each ear.

Love this! Its not a new concept, but she made this look so young and fresh. This is an easy trend to recreate, and if you keep all your other accessories minimal like Saoirse does, it will work.

If you didn't have a statement earring, you had a eye catching necklace. I can't mention eye catching necklaces without bringing up the jaw dropping diamond necklace that Charlize Theron wore. All I could say was WOW.

Another one of my favorite statement necklaces was the stunner that Tina Fey was wearing. She rocked that diamond and sapphire necklace. Also that tanzanite color dress was stunning on her!

I can't talk about amazing necklaces on the red carpet and not mention Naomi Watts. The past few years she has showed us some stunning necklaces, and she did not disappoint this year. I love this diamond pave leaf design.

One lady I have to mention is Whoopi Goldberg.

She was one of the first to walk the red carpet, and she really set the jewelry bar VERY high for me. Only Whoopi would come out with this amazing custom Octopus ring/bracelet piece of art. The jewelry designer Sevan Biçakçi created this stunning piece. If anyone was going to bring a jewelry statement to the Oscars, leave it to Whoopi to blow us all out of the water!

The best accessory was a gold Oscar statue, and my favorite look was Leonardo DiCaprio with his Oscar.

Grammys 2016- Jewelry risk takers

It's the time again! You know what I'm talking about. The time your Facebook feed is full of Grammy highlights to make sure we all know what happened because honestly, who really watched the Grammys this year? It was in the middle of a Monday! It was on a holiday, so you were either nursing a Valentine's chocolate hangover, stuck in traffic getting home from your romantic weekend get away, or (like me) you were working and didn't even know the Grammy's had started until your Instagram and Facebook started showing all the red carpet looks.

It's also the time to be underwhelmed by the jewelry selection. Although I did notice a few trends and a couple of jewelry risk takers this year. Lets start with the risk takers shall we?

Demi Lovato

SHE KILLED IT! She is my "jewelry best dressed" because she pushed the limit while still staying classic. Her red carpet look was very rock and roll, which is really what one should try and aim for at the Grammys. She is wearing a body chain, with what looks like diamond Gucci links, and a ring on almost every finger.

THEN, when she performed. Can we talk about that giant diamond necklace?!?! Thank you! Its huge and you can see that bad boy from a mile away!

Carrie Underwood

When I saw Carrie my first thought was "wow, that necklace is kinda dated. OH DAMN, just saw that crazy huge yellow diamond!" I really love the classic style of this Ruby and Diamond necklace, and I'm glad its making a come back. She rocked it!

Rings Rings RINGS!

The trend of wearing every ring you own, once taboo, now apparently is all the rage! I have been seeing this a lot on a lot of red carpets, and I think its a trend that the average Jane could pull off. Here are a few artists who did right by this style.

Elle King

Honorable mention

Taylor Swift, I don't know why you cut your hair, maybe to show off that bomb mix color sapphire choker? If so, good decision.
